"Let's find a spot on the beach to eat!"

How many times have you either made or heard that statement? One?...A Thousand?
You see my point. When you're on the coast of Maine and you think about eating, you think about the sea.
Welcome to the Whale's Tooth Pub. Located on the beach in Lincolnville it has the perfect combination for happiness. Great Food + Great View = Happiness
I'll start with the Food. When you think of a pub, you naturally think of pub fare. However... There is pub fare and then there is Pub Fare. I prefer the latter.
It doesn't get better than "The Tooth" as it is affectionately known. I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that the Burger is the best in Maine!
It doesn't end there I'm happy to say. The fish and chips in newspaper and seafood stir-fry are excellent. All fresh, all tasty. Don't stop there, my niece lives in NJ and never can we get through a phone call without her mentioning the popcorn shrimp.
The Prime Rib??? Mouth watering.
Dinner done, the chalkboard full of homemade desserts is amazing and the reason most people leave the Tooth talking to themselves. No doubt wondering what's next, start the diet or tryout for "The Biggest Loser"? YUM!

Let's look around.
Built in the 1700's the building was originally the British Customs House. (No fools when it comes to location those British!) It's right on Lincolnville Beach on US 1., so easy to get to and there's plenty of parking. Then interior is warm and inviting. Being open year round I can tell you that there's no better place to enjoy a blizzard than parked in front of that giant fireplace with a fresh local ale.

In the summer, it's outside for some fresh air and time on the bay.
Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.
